Here are a few tips for proper care - so that your child can enjoy their overalls even longer.

Wash only when absolutely necessary – for the sake of the environment*!

Small stains can often be removed with a damp cloth. You can simply hang the suit outside for a few hours to air it out.

Wash only on a delicate program at a maximum of 30°C.

  • Close all Velcro fasteners, straps and zippers
  • If possible, wash with a mild, non-organic detergent made for outdoor clothing (is that what you mean?)
  • DO NOT use detergents with chlorine or bleach!
  • DO NOT use fabric softener!
  • ...prefer an additional rinse cycle in the washing machine instead. In this way, the detergent is rinsed out really thoroughly and the suit is extra soft.

DO NOT tumble dry!

Hang on a hanger to dry. Things may dry faster inside out, especially gloves.

This keeps the suit water-repellent and breathable

The Durable Water Repellancy treatment (DWR) ensures that the outer fabric is water-repellent. This effect wears off after several washes, but it can be easily reactivated.

Reactivating the DWR after washing

Simply lay a damp cloth on the outside of the fabric and iron over it on a LOW temperature . As if by magic, the heat reactivates the water-repellent properties. Don't iron too hot as that would ruin the fabric!
